Corporate Translator · Workplace jargon

This is about enablement.

What they mean: We sent an email.

Real enablement changes a workflow. The corporate version often changes only the inbox count.

When you hear it

Enablement may refer to training, documentation, support, or process redesign. In practice, the word is often used when the only completed action was announcing a tool.

A clearer version

We told people the tool exists, but we have not yet helped them use it in a real workflow.

What to ask next

Name the workflow being improved, provide an approved example, explain the data rules, and give employees somewhere to get help.
